Owner James’ career in the United States Navy began right out of high school and spanned a total of 20 years where he was not only enlisted as a Culinary Specialist (14 years) but also a Master-at-Arms (6 years). It was through his time in the Navy serving as a part of the Presidential Food Service Security at the White House, cooking for and serving President Bill Clinton and President George W. Bush, and running bake shops at multiple commands that he realized cooking was his passion. Upon retiring he returned home to Texas and decided to continue working in the field that he loved so much. He decided to bring all the delicious pastries and baked goods he mastered to Bandera and where he now calls home.

Three Brothers continues to be owned and managed by members of the Jucker family. Sigmund's son, Robert - a 5th generation baker, now runs the business along with his wife, Janice and Aunt Estelle, Sol's wife. We are sisters, Chelsie and Aerial, and we have always dreamed of sharing God's word while being able to do something we truly enjoy. We decided to start The Good Samaritan because of our Mother, who raised us on sweets and always baked and decorated all of our birthday cakes. She always had some gooey brownies, a chocolate cake or something sweet for breakfast, snacks, and desserts. Very nutritious. Not only did she get us hooked on sweets, but she raised us in a Christian home and taught us at a very young age to put others before ourselves. Every few months we would like to host a drive to contribute to a local charity or organization that has a greater need than our own. Everything we have is a gift from God and it is not given to us to keep for ourselves. We want to give back a little
