Bandersnatch Glassworks is owned and operated solely by myself, Kyle "Boot" Johnson. Over the last year I have built a small lamporking studio for myself in a small shed in the back yard. I have made the best of my space and build a nice little home for my first business. I grew up as a child of the military and have spent most of my life traveling the country and a little of the world. After a fortunate accident at mile 2000 of the Pacific Crest Trail, I found myself with a broken ankle in Portland Oregon. Since then Portland has become my home, and now my base of operations. All of the glass I work with is high quality Borosilicate (Pyrex) and is properly annealed in my kiln. I use a Bethlehem Barracuda torch for all of my work.

The owner of the store 22 year old Joe Johnston has been blowing glass since he was 6 years old, taught by his father Joe Johnston Sr. who has been blowing glass for 42 years. We have glass beads and pendants, vases, perfume bottles, oil viles, ornaments, icicles, marbles, eggs, jewelry, hemp necklaces, pipes, water pipes. He does custom orders and repairs as well.
