Who we are: Kid Time is a nonprofit children’s discovery museum and early learning center in the heart of downtown Medford. Our focus is on kids 0 to 10 years old.
What we do: We provide a rich and varied environment for free-play along with both instructed and monitored activities that engage trained staff members with children and their families.
Why we do it: Imaginative activities, what scientists call “free-play”, is a vital component in proper brain development, actually changing the way the prefrontal cortex is wired. It’s long been proven that kids who engage in free-play build a foundation for success not only in school but, ultimately, for their entire life.

We are a themed facility located in an 112 yr old house and we're known as the gingerbread house. We are decorated throughout with cakes and candies on the ceilings, candy, icing and cookies on the woodwork, & murals throughout. We have a wheat free gluten free bakery and restaurant, and a candy store. We have been shown on the Home & Garden Show, Offbeat America, Food Network, Unwrapped, Discover Channel and the Travel Channel. We have also been shown on "What's Up With House" in England, and have now been shown in countries around the world.
We are looking for sponsors and or investors, to help us buy the building we have been developing our business in for the past 16 years and to help complete the Candyland project, which will bring 33 jobs to the community when it is finished.
