The Historic Daniel Lady Farm, located in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, is a significant Civil War landmark that served as a Confederate field hospital during the Battle of Gettysburg. Visitors can explore the meticulously restored 19th-century farmhouse and barn, where authentic bloodstains visible in the floors of the house. The farm offers self-guided tours of the house and barn during the annual weekend events. These events include living history demonstrations on various weekends, the annual Gettysburg Civil War Reenactment, the annual Gettysburg Brewfest & Trail 5k, and during scout camping outings. In addition to the self-guided house and barn tours, visitors can enjoy the over a dozen Wayside Markers throughout the property that highlight the significant history of the farm. Historic home of famous steamboat inventor and artist Robert Fulton, who was born in 1765 in beautiful Southern Lancaster County amid its rolling farmland. The house is owned by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and is operated under a management agreement with the Southern Lancaster County Historical Society. Group guided tours are provided by appointment. Open to the general public from Memorial Day in May through Labor Day in September. Furnishings are of the period of Fulton's lifetime. Facilities: No eating establishments are on the premises. Public restrooms are available. Handicapped-accessible.
