We offer you a well-groomed, beautifully landscaped golf course. A great place to practice your short game (you know you need to!), a wonderful course for beginners and also family friendly. A twosome can play ten holes in about 90 minutes or less. Our fees are reasonable and remain the same seven days a week, offering discounts for seniors (55+), military/veteran and youth golfers (14 and under play free with paying adult).
The course is available for fundraiser events and ideal for scrambles (best ball). We do not take tee times nor are they necessary.

Since it was built in 1924, the Penobscot Valley Country Club has hosted more than 10 Maine Amateur Golf Championships. Now, members and visitors can enjoy a restaurant, a full bar and a beautiful event space in addition to our 18-hole private golf course in Orono, ME. Dunegrass Golf Club is 18 holes that meanders over 300+ acres of wooded, back dunes. At 6,644 yards, with a par 72, the course offers a challenge for even the most serious player. With four sets of tees on each hole, every level of golfer will find the course playable.
Dunegrass Golf Club was idyllically crafted on Maine’s coastal terrain and sculpted into a masterpiece of golf design. Natural features including streams, hill sides, undulations and rock cropping have been preserved to produce a visual feast.

The club’s namesake, The Nonesuch River, runs directly through the golf course property, creating “wetland areas” which support a variety of plant and animal species.
During the design and construction process, we were careful to maintain valuable wildlife habitat important to local moose, wild turkey, fox and deer populations. We worked closely with state and local officials to limit our environmental impact on the beautiful forest and river area. Our maintenance philosophy is to continue to provide an ongoing, thriving wildlife habitat throughout the wetlands and forested areas.
Nonesuch is unique in that there is no development on the golf course except for the clubhouse and golf-related amenities. It is truly a golf course situated in its natural environment.
