We'll have lots of fresh fruit and vegetables to keep you and your family healthy during this time as well as plants and flowers to make your home beautiful. We are working to put together a system for ordering and curbside pick up, stay tuned for more information! Evergreen Farm was established in 1957 by Ray and Anita Theis. They ran the farm for several years with the help of their youngest son Steve and his wife Kathy. In early years, they supplied tomatoes for the Campbell Soup company and pickles for Del Monte. Years later, Ray added greenhouses and decided to name it after his granddaughter, Amy. Eventually Ray and Anita wanted to retire and sold the farm to Steve and Kathy. With the help of their 3 children, Amy, Adam and Stephanie, they developed the farm into what it is today. We are a 3 season farm, opening in mid April through October. In the spring, we are open with quality hanging baskets featuring Proven Winner annuals, bedding plants, vegetable plants, herbs, high quality geraniums and more. As summer approaches we switch gears to vegetables. We take pride in servicing the area with quality, homegrown vegetables and local fruit in season. Steves sweetcorn has been labeled the best in the area. We also grow tomatoes, green beans, zucchini, cucumbers, pickling cucumbers, green and red peppers, musk melons, eggplant, baby new potatoes, sweet onions, radishes, beets, lettuce, carrots, broccoli and much more. We have a beekeeper that provides us with honey from bees on our farm. We bring in local fruits such as peaches, blueberries, plums, grapes, nectarines, bing cherries, apples and much more. As summer winds down, we start thinking hardy mums, pumpkins, acorn and butternut squash, corn stalks, straw bales, gourds and lots more.
