It Started With My Grandmother, Elouise Foster In Bellerose Louisiana. As A Young Girl I And All My Cousins Would Visit Our Grandmother For The Summer And She Would Treat Us By Making Homemade Pecan Candy. We Would Take Turns Stirring And Fight Over The Spoon After It Was Done! It Was Sooo Delicious. You Could Taste Every Ingredient Independently Of Itself. My Aunt Aully Rue Took The Torch After My Grandmother. She Would Continue The Legacy. We Would Have Family Gatherings And She Would Say, I’ll Make Candy But You All Are Helping Me Stir!. It Was The Highlight Of Every Family Get Together!. My Grandmother And Aunt Have Passed On And I Believe They Would Be Proud Of Sweet Stings.
