Tea Importers, Inc. is a privately-held company founded in 1953 and headquartered in Westport, Connecticut. The company imports tea from all of the major and many of the minor tea producing countries in the world. It is one of the leading tea importers, selling to major tea packers and blenders, as well as specialty tea companies in the United States, Canada, Europe, Asia and the Middle East. In addition, Tea Importers operates a Fair Trade certified tea factory in Rwanda, which produces over 6 million pounds of high quality tea each year for customers worldwide.
