The Comedy Bar started out as a show in a downtown Chicago bar back in 2011, where it quickly gained popularity and began to expand programming to meet the demand. In 2015, the club joined forces with Chicago staple, Gino's East to build its flagship location, which offers 7 days of stand up a week, a full menu of authentic Chicago food and in-house brewed craft beer from Gino's Brewing Company. The Comedy Bar’s flagship location has two stages: the main stage venue and B-stage, which overlooks the in-house brewery. As a company, we believe that sticking to the basics and doing them really, really well is the best path to success. It is exemplified in our name, our programming and even the venue itself. We offer great comedy, for a decent price, in a beautiful room that serves quality food/drinks with exceptional guest service. ComedySportz is the longest running short-form improv show in Chicago. Now in our 24th year! It's not stand-up comedy about sports...it's improv comedy played as a sport! Professional comedians who tour nationally take the stage at this intimate comedy showplace where the owners will make you feel like family. Doors open at 6:00 for an 7:00 o'clock show. The Energee Center Comedy Club is located next to Vickie's Salon and Spa and just steps from Panhandler's Pizza at 349 South Barrington Road in Wauconda. Ticket price is $20. (Tickets may be purchased next door at Vicki's Salon for the reduced rate of $15 at least 24 hours prior to showtime.) Free popcorn is served. Soft drinks and snacks are available for $1.00.
