About Julian Safir, MD Julian Safir, MD, is a board-certified radiologist with over 27 years of experience. Dr. Safir received his Doctor of Medicine from the University Of Maryland. He completed his diagnostic radiology residency at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center and his fellowship in MRI at New York University Medical Center. Dr. Safir is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Radiology at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. Dr. Safir was inspired to enter the specialty of radiology while in college at Duke University, where he majored in biomedical engineering. His research publications and presentations have focused on breast MRI for cancer detection.

Dr. Gilet received a medical degree from SUNY Upstate Medical University in 2005. He completed his internship in internal medicine at Winthrop University Hospital. Afterward, Dr. Gilet completed his radiology residency at SUNY Stony Brook University Medical Center where he was the Chief Resident. Thereafter, he went to New York University Medical Center to complete his fellowship in MRI with subspecialty training in body, cardiovascular, musculoskeletal and spine imaging. Dr. Gilet currently holds an appointment as an Assistant Professor of Radiology at New York Medical College where he was awarded Teacher of the Year for the Radiology Residency Program in 2016. He has written over 20 peer-reviewed articles, presented at over 100 national meetings, and is a member of the American College of Radiology, the Radiological Society of North America, the American Roentgen Ray Society, and the Society for Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance.
