Shannon received her Masters in Occupational Therapy from the University of Oklahoma. She is the 2007 LEND (Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities) fellow where she completed an additional 300 hours of education specializing in leadership and advocacy for children and youth with or at risk for developmental disabilities. Shannon is a Sensory Integrative and Praxis Test (SIPT) certified therapist. Shannon has been married to her husband, Ryan, since 1997 and together they have three sons. Shannon became interested in pursing an OT degree following her oldest son's diagnosis of autism at the age of two. Prior to the completion of her Masters, Shannon's second son also received an autism diagnosis.
