Intricately Woven Birth Services was created out of a passion for walking beside women throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. We provide physical, emotional, and informational support during your prenatal, labor/delivery and immediate postpartum periods. Full Circle Placenta trained, placenta encapsulation services are available combined with or separate from doula services. Here, at Intricately Woven, we thrive on seeing families grow and succeed.

There are several reasons why Moms choose to have a doula. Studies have shown that women who hire a doula are less likely to have a C-section and more likely to be breastfeeding 6months after birth. They are also less likely to need epidural and other interventions. Doulas also help your partner or spouse to be more involved . They are well trained in birth and can help provide a calming atmosphere. Just as no midwife, doctor or nurse works alone, our partners shouldn't be either. This process is a big event in our partners lives as well as ours. Doulas allow spouses and partners to be involved as little or as much as they are comfortable with. The Doula also plays the important role of giving the birth partners time and space when labor become overwhelming or especially long.
