Your Childs Road has been developed from the parents perspective. We hope to provide one place where you can find up to date information about your child's learning difference, share referrals and buy and sell products and ideas.

This mission is work in progress as I have been very ill. My hope is that I can provide resource center and be an advocate for those disabled, chronically ill, and plain just in need. I will keep you posted as the progress is able to move along.

Since 1997, Texas HOPE Literacy has served as the leading volunteer literacy program in Texas prisons and has been named by the Texas Department of Criminal Justice as the "premier volunteer initiative that has provided our offenders with outstanding services to assist in their transition back into the community". Many have seen their reading and math earned achievement scores increase 3-6 grade levels within 6-9 months during incarceration. Upon release some have reuinted with families, found employment, others have gone to college or trade school. Its two models are Classroom and Community. The vision is to be the model program for all prisons and train organizations to implement the program in their areas. HOPE focuses on women to prevent their children from going to prison.
