We use a non-destructive water/vacuum system to excavate and window utilities. Our equipment has the capability of using an air knife or a water knife to excavate. We choose to use water, as it is much more efficient in the type of soils found in the Southwest: e.g., clay, caliche, and volcanic ash. Vacuum excavation prevents any damage to underground plant and allows us to provide our clients three dimensions of sub-surface utility information, depth, diameter, and direction. To determine horizontal position of utilities we use Radio Detection, and Subsite electronic equipment. We also have Registered Engineers on staff when Subsurface Utility Engineering (S.U.E.) is requested for project discovery. We have experience with Records Research, Utility Coordination and Data Management.
