My partner, Derek Lepke, and I both have a love for wildlife. We started in the early 1990's working with Rita Blanca Chapter of Quail Unlimited developing and improving habitat for wildlife with an emphasis on quail. With the help of other volunteers, we planted windbreaks and shrub plantings. In 1993, we started installing Black Gap style guzzlers. The Black Gap guzzler was developed at the Black Gap Wildlife Management Area in the Trans-Pecos area of Texas. Guzzler technology goes back to the Roman cisterns. They collect rainfall, store it and make it available as needed. We have made changes over the 20 years and came up with what we are marketing now. Our system does not require a float to regulate water flow.
