Frontier Technology Corp. is a licensed and certified provider of Neutron Sources and Shipping Packages.
Frontier Technology Corp. operates on a seven-acre site. Our facility includes a remote handling area, support divisions (machine shop, health physics, quality control), and a general office.
One of our buildings is dedicated for manufacturing Cf-252 neutron sources. Design and engineering analysis is performed in-house. We also build FTC shields, FTC shielded type-A casks, and other custom products for shipping & packaging radioactive materials.
Standard designs are usually used for smaller shipping packages with source holders that match customer needs. All Type A containers are tested to withstand transportation problems such as rough handling, rain exposure, and minor mishaps.
All our design, fabrication, construction, and testing processes comply with 10CFR50 Appendix B requirements. This makes our structures, systems, and components safe for nuclear power applications. We hold the IAEA special form certification from the U.S. Department of Transportation for manufacturing shipping packages.
The effectiveness of our technology, advanced manufacturing techniques, and a stringent Quality Assurance Program has ensured nil customer rejection and field failure.
