Known today as Dooley Gasket and Seal, James E. Dooley Company was originally founded as a gasket manufacturing company by Jim Dooley in 1974. Armed with his extensive knowledge of gaskets, o-rings, molded and extruded rubber parts, mechanical packing and insulation products, Jim set out to grow the James E. Dooley Company into a worldwide leader in the gasket manufacturing industry. As the company grew, Jim recognized the need for a complete house of sealing products and founded a division of chemical tank truck parts in seals and gaskets. Thus, NuSeal was established in 1984 as a worldwide supplier of tank truck sealing products and parts. In 1998, Jim purchased Custom Gaskets & Packing, Inc., a provider of spiral wound gaskets and custom made gaskets in North Brunswick, NJ.
