The Plaisted Companies mining reserve, located in Elk River, Minnesota, offers the most complete line of sand and gravel products available in the upper Midwest. These quality products are the foundation of our engineered soils, including: golf course and athletic field products, horticultural products, rain garden and rooftop garden mixes, and horse arena footing mixes. Plaisted technical services include: soil testing, soil mix recommendations, custom engineered soils, and soil blending utilizing our computerized Accublender™ which ensures product consistency load after load. The Plaisted Precast division produces septic tank products and Stone Strong® commercial retaining wall blocks. Plaisted operates a fleet of more than 40 trucks capable of delivering one ton to 25 tons per load.
