The RollinBuckeyez Foundation (RBF) mission is to provide education, health, wellness, and mentoring programs for youth to inspire and encourage them to become leaders of tomorrow. By creatively incorporating artistic and athletic activities into their community outreach efforts, the RBF has been effective in engaging youth participation in programs encouraging personal development, leadership & sportsmanship skills.
The RollinBuckeyez Foundation has been successful in their outreach efforts by partnering with community organizations to provide opportunities for the youth to become involved with various activities such as roller skating, football, basketball, and soccer. RBF also provides opportunities for at-risk youth to showcase their talents by providing a platform to perform at local community events such as the Lifebanc Annual Gift of Life Walk and Run, Susan G Komen Race for Cure, and a variety of other events.
The RollinBuckeyez Foundation conducts monthly skate parties to help raise funds to support the youth activities. The monthly skate parties give young adults the opportunity to enjoy live entertainment in a safe environment or in other words “…have a ball without alcohol.”
Education: With the increasing epidemic of chronic childhood diseases, we provide community outreach programs in efforts of educating the youth on health related issues as a creative way of encouraging preventative care at an early age. These are hands on programs which allow the participants the exposure to interact with individuals who have been affected by these lifestyle diseases.
Health & Wellness: The RollinBuckeyez Foundation supports initiatives that encourage individuals to maintain a healthy lifestyle. RBF conducts annual skate camps for at-risk youth and ongoing workshops to teach the art of roller skating as a fun alternative to traditional exercise. As result, participants have the opportunity to showcase their talents at local community events focused on health related issues such as the annual Breast Cancer Walk, and the Lifebanc Gift of Life Walk and Run.
Mentoring: The goal of our mentoring program is to change the lives of at risk youth by providing alternative activities to street life. We focus on the following key developmental areas:
