Promote acquaintanceship/group effort among those interested in African Americans, Hispanics, Latinos, Native Americans and Asians; Further the cause of research in African American, Hispanic & Latino, Native American & Asian Studies; Stimulate greater public interest in and better informed public opinion of our targeted groups; Serve as a forum for research and artistic endeavors in the celebration of the lives and works of the targeted groups; Serve as a resource for scholars who desire information and support for research related to the experiences of the targeted groups; Maintain archives available to all members of the community desirous of using available resources; Support and host an annual national convention that provides students and scholars an opportunity to present research.
