African Immigrant Services (AIS), a 501 C 3 community-based non-profit organization, works to increase civic participation within communities of color, build assets and close disparities, and strive to overcome the effects of systemic and cultural barriers. To achieve its mission, AIS employs five core strategies: Community engagement and education; asset building and wealth creation; leadership development; community organizing; and supportive services.
