City on a Hill's mission is to transform the lives of children and youth and strengthen families in our central city neighborhood. At the end of the year 2000, City on a Hill acquired a former hospital facility, and began to address a broad range of issues contributing to poverty and family deterioration in Milwaukee's Avenues West neighborhood. In the 10 years since City on a Hill has become a catalyst for neighborhood revitalization, a ministry of reconciliation and a place of transformation. It is a place where children and parents can find hope in Christ, and the education, services and support they need to strengthen their families, improve their socio-economic and health status, and advance their overall quality of life.
