FlameOFF® Coatings, Inc. manufactures and offers both a white intumescent paint tested to ASTM E-84 and ASTM E-119/CAN/ULC-S101 standards and a clear fire retardant spray tested to NFPA 701 standards. FlameOFF® intumescent paint has been tested for use on interior structural steel, gypsum and wood. To achieve the proper fire rating, our coating must be applied to the specific Dry Film Thickness (DFT) listed in our technical data sheets. The Wet Film Thickness (WFT) can be applied at 15-45 mils depending upon applicator experience and rating requirements. For applicators not experienced with our product we recommend applying additional coats at lessor amounts to achieve the required DFT. FlameOFF® FR Clear is a fire retardant coating that is best applied to wooden surfaces and on other natural or synthetic materials. With FlameOFF® FR Clear, users can benefit from the safety of a fire-resistant coating, with a clear finish that allows materials to maintain their original colors, appearance, and durability. This anti-fire technology protects wood and other materials but is also environmentally friendly and non-toxic. FlameOFF® FR Clear is effective in protecting construction materials from the spread of fire. It maintains the original properties of the materials used. It is water based, non toxic, and environmentally friendly.
