West Mont has been caring for Montanans since 1973. We are a Montana nonprofit charitable organization that provides a wide range of services for individuals with developmental disabilities. West Mont owns and operates 13-residential facilities and 4-vocational centers, all located in Helena, MT. We also provide employment, medical care, respite (Melodee House), and recreational activities. West Mont residential facilities include Farm & Gardens, a home for 8-people plus and vocational training and employment for 24 more. We also operate West Mont Flower & Trading Company a full service retail and wholesale flower shop as well as one of our vocational centers. Our newest facility Ron's Place, opened in 2015 and provides nursing care for or most medically fragile residents.

Our mission is "To improve lives by mobilizing the caring power of our communities." We work for our community -- listening, compiling data, leading community conversations, motivating and inspiring volunteers, organizing collaborative efforts, and pursuing resources and partners to implement strategies that deliver measurable results -- positive community impact and long-term change. These strategies are not limited to only funding programs. Our initiatives fall under three community goals: - Education: Keeping kids on track to achieve their full potential. - Health: Increasing knowledge, resources, access, and opportunities - Income: Fulfilling basic needs, stabilizing people in crisis, & building self-sufficiency
