BioCentric Media, LLC is a digital media company specializing in secondary and post-secondary life science content. Marta Klesath PhD and Alice Harvey MA co-founded the company. Marta Klesath earned her doctorate in Science Education from NCSU where she is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biological Sciences. Alice Harvey completed a masters degree in medical illustration and certification in information technology from Rochester Institute of Technology. She is currently a senior medical illustrator at NCSU. Their combined expertise uniquely qualifies them to design and develop high quality, cutting edge life science applications. Their first mobile application, OpenLab.bones, is an excellent interactive learning and reference tool for the human skeletal system. Provides stellar content in a engaging, visually satisfying format that makes this app a great resource for students, educators, medical and healthcare professionals as well as individuals curious about human anatomy. The updated OpenLab.bones 2.0 version includes multiple quizzing features. This app is currently available at Google Play for android devices and is available for download on the iPad through iTunes.
