Nestled between the Vaca Mountains and the Mayacamas Mountains, Bello Family Vineyards is situated on a stretch of land that is warm during the summer days but cool in the evening and night. The climate and the high-quality Rutherford soil gives Bello Family Vineyards the ideal terroir for producing high-quality Cabernet Sauvignon. However, it is the hard work, of the vineyard’s team that transforms the Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Petit Verdot grapes grown on this land into exceptional wines. The grapes are planted and farmed by David Abreu, a graduate of UC Davis’ Viticulture and Enology program and an award-winning vintner. After harvest, these grapes are transformed into wine by the vineyard’s winemaker, Ross Wallace. Mr. Wallace has over 15 years of experience living and working in Napa Valley and making wines for the Hunnicutt Wine Company, Bryant Family Vineyard, and the Laird Family Estate. This process is overseen by the vineyard’s founder, Michael Bello, and managed by his son, Christopher Bello, who serves general manager. The result is a range of wines that consistently receive scores above 90 from renowned wine critic Robert Parker.

Founded by Miljenko ‘Mike’ Grgich and Austin Hills in 1977, the family-owned winery produces world-class, food-friendly wines.
