The Aroostook Paranormal Investigation Society is a member of the Greater Limestone Chamber of Commerce, Our group often holds events in October and aid other local community based groups throughout the year as part of our NPO designation. Investigations done by the group are free, but a travel fee is applied for our services. We have an online newsletter,the PAPYRUS, which is found on our website. We consist of a Board of Directors and can have up to 20 members that do research and investigation. A person must be 18 or older to join our organization and be able to pass a background check; we are a volunteer organization which is funded solely by donations and earned revenue from events we sponsor or co sponsor. Other than investigations, we also do lectures and educational events.
