The Barn at Stoney Hills has been a family-owned and -operated farm for more than 30 years. They proudly exceed their couple’s expectations by providing personalized service and a positive, homey atmosphere. Randy and Joni, purchased the property in 1989 and Stoney Hills has been their home ever since. This is where they raised their two daughters, farmed elk for 15 years, and their 4 grandsons now keep them busy! When the time came for their first daughter to get married, she had her wedding ceremony at a local church and hosted the reception and dance in their shed. The whole event was wonderful and they loved having two families come together for this joyous occasion. This led the Hamson family to design and build a timber frame barn in 2019 uniquely tailored to host weddings and events. The Barn at Stoney Hills provides a country rustic feel in an upscale Barn where you and your guests can really relax, enjoy each other’s company, and make the most of your wedding experience.

SweetWater is a small family, dog-friendly resort on Fish Trap Lake located 30 miles southwest of Brainerd or 20 miles northwest of Little Falls. We have clean, modern, air-conditioned cabins. Each unit is equipped and ready to be your home at the lake. We provide bedding, dishes, silverware, cookware, stove, microwave, refrigerator/freezer, coffee maker, toaster, picnic table and charcoal grill. Each cabin has a deck or patio. We have paddle boats and canoes for guests to use and fishing and pontoons to rent. For our winter guests: Access to 700 miles of snowmobile trails at our driveway and we partner with Hill Top Sports for Fish houses. Snow tubing, downhill skiiing and crosscountry skiing withing 40 minutes.
