Hi, we are the owners of RKS Auto. In short, while we are not face-to-face, I would like to tell you a little about ourselves and our history. Even though we have not been in business for decades, we have become well known within our community and surrounding areas, including but not limited to Salt Lake and Las Vegas. Thanks to the tourists who frequent the campground and hiking areas in our small town, we have also been mentioned in neighboring states, with returning “ R.V.ers,” recommending us to fellow travelers. My husband and I decided to take a chance opening this business in my home town after we met during the restoration of my 1966 Pontiac Grand Prix. With his extensive knowledge, (35 years) and my dabbling in mechanics, we felt as though we would have a shot at providing a service to individuals that are in need. Talk about one heck of an engagement ring! Not to mention our mindset was similar, why do we need to sell a person something that they don’t need just to make that extra buck? Let’s be honest and fair, not to mention simple! That was the deciding factor. After much deliberation and planning he gave his final two week notice to his boss and I packed up the house. While his boss and good friend was sad to let him go, he wished us luck. Returning to my family-owned property and childhood home, we began the process of opening a new business with no guarantee of the outcome, or what lie ahead. I have since taken classes to better my knowledge and abilities and my husband has become a fan favorite with the locals. We have settled in to the aspects of small town America; hunting, fishing, community events, and enjoying the beauty that surrounds us every day.
