Growing up in small town Oklahoma as the proud daughter of small business owners, I witnessed firsthand how stressful and difficult finding affordable health insurance can be. It seemed like my parents were always stuck between choosing super high premiums for decent coverage or lower premiums with minimal coverage and high deductibles. Fast forward a few years when I graduated from Oklahoma State University and became a Spanish teacher in Texas and quickly realized that health insurance for educators is incredibly expensive with high deductibles too, especially when you add your spouse or children to your plan! This is why I get so excited when I talk about my business because I truly am able to help people just like my parents and former colleagues. My personal experience in dealing with health insurance as a consumer is what turned my work into my passion.
