His son Wyche Jr. joined the agency in the 1940's, over the years Wyche Murphy Jr. phased out of the Real Estate business and concentrated on the Property and Casualty side of the insurance business. The agency was incorporated in 1974 to the Wyche Murphy Agency, Inc. Wyche Jr's son John W. Murphy began his insurance career as a Prudential agent in 1985 and joined the Murphy agency in 1990's. The Murphy Agency has continued to sell and service Individual Life & Health, Auto & Home as well as Commercial P&C and Employee Benefits Insurance.
