Founded in 1948 by W. Robert Stover, Westaff was incorporated in 1954 and became a public company in 1996. In March 2009, Westaff was acquired by The Select Family of Staffing Companies. Westaff employs thousands of flexible, part-time, and full-time staffing associates annually, with skills ranging from administration, accounting, and call centers to light industrial and light technical David and Fran Mount started their own independent staffing company in 1982. The temporary services sector grew gradually until the Mounts decided to seek national affiliation in November, 1990. Offices span the region, from Albany, NY to Tewksbury, MA and Providence and north to St. Albans, VT and Lancaster, NH. The Mounts operate 13 offices in the region.
