I strive to capture the traditional or formal shots at events, although candids can be most rewarding for me and my clients. Clients find them to be a welcome change, and very often, a wonderful surprise. I started shooting at dressage and hunter/jumper shows, but these days attend draft horse pulling contests whenever possible. The sheer size and strength, not to mention individual character, of these splendid horses are a delight to see and be around. These big horses are also wonderful subjects for various artistic projects. Besides traditional photography, developing new techniques to create digital artwork with the horse as the subject keeps me challenged.
