KRM initiated its’ first real estate project in Annapolis, Maryland in the late 1960’s with the opening of the Annapolis Science Center. With headquarters moving to Chestertown in the late 1970’s the company developed the Chestertown Business Park in 1980 and constructed its first of many facilities there. Since that time KRM has developed facilities in Maryland, Delaware, Georgia, Texas, Pennsylvania, Illinois and North Carolina and leases over 2 million square feet in these areas. With an adequate supply of developable land KRM is able to construct many flex or shell buildings so as to meet the more immediate needs of its customers. In essence, the lead times to meet customer’s space needs is drastically reduced by having an inventory of available product for new customers as well as existing ones. We started our drives business in 1992 in Reston Virginia, initially focussing our attention on products for the DC drives market, which we felt had become somewhat neglected by the establishment.
