Ed and Sharon Hoveln established Hoveln Heating and Cooling, Inc. in 1977. At that time Ed had 12 years of experience in management and sales in the HVAC industry. Ed and Sharon worked out of their home for many years using a 1,000 square foot building for storage. In 1996 the business was moved to an 8,000 square foot building in Thomasboro which is our present location today. Jeff and Shari Hoveln purchased the business December 31, 2008. Jeff started helping his dad at the age of 12. He attended ITT Technical Institute and received a degree in heating and refrigeration in 1985 and has worked in the business ever since. He is a licensed plumber, NATE certified technician, and a healthy air specialist. Jeff is a board member for the St. Joseph Grade and Middle School District and follows his kids to various sporting activities throughout the year. Before working here full time in 1998, Shari graduated from Illinois State University and worked for a local credit union and accounting firm. She has 20 plus years experience in accounting and finance and also volunteers for various community activities. They are the proud parents of three children. Our goal today is the same as it has always been–to offer quality service and installation at reasonable prices and to exceed our customer’s expectations. Our satisfied customers are our best sales people. We have more than 100 years of combined heating, air conditioning, and plumbing experience and in 2008 earned Factory Authorized Dealer status as a Bryant dealer. In May 2015 we received the Bryant Circle of Champions award for outstanding customer service. We service all types of conventional gas furnaces and air conditioners, steam and Weil-McLain hot water boilers, oil heating, provide duct cleaning, help improve indoor air quality and design our own duct systems. We have installed over 1100 geothermal units over the last 38 years and offer Nu-Wool cellulose insulation to our customers because of the energy efficiency it provides.
