Mediation’s goal is to assist parties in coming to mutually satisfying solutions amidst difficult circumstances. It can help to avoid the strenuous emotional and monetary costs associated with litigation. DIVORCE MEDIATION: When a relationship is no longer viable, the separation of a couple often produces anger, hurt, emotional pain and anxiety. My role as mediator is to help the parties move beyond the hurt and focus on a mutually acceptable resolution of all the issues facing them. FAMILY MEDIATION: Mediation recognizes that the family continues long after the end of the marriage. Court litigation, on the other hand, is likely to be prolonged and expensive, and the resolution imposed by a Judge is not usually to the liking of either party. As a certified mediator, I work with families to identify the issues which are creating the conflict. My role is to facilitate meaningful dialogue which results in an agreement that is fair and reasonable for all concerned. You can also use mediation to solve community and employment disputes.
