Andres Embroidery Design was started in 1995 by Andres (Andy) and Del Aguilar. It began as a small home-based digitizing business with a single-head machine and computerized system. Andy began doing embroidery around 1984, working for a family owned and operated business in South Lake Tahoe, California. He began digitizing a few years later, which is the process of converting artwork from drawing or computer generated artwork to embroidery stitches. His work was prominently featured in the November 1993 issue of Impressions magazine, a leader in showcasing Imprinted Sportswear & Textile Screen Printing.
