I've crafted since I was a small child. I also worked as a bookkeeper before I decided to stay home and raise my children. In the summer of 2007 at 2:00am, I heard the rivets on our huge metal barn start popping off like they were buttons on a shirt. After getting everybody to a safe place, we turned on our battery operated radio to learn that a tornado had just cut a path directly behind our house. The next morning, we woke to see that it had levelled our metal barn and left just a skeleton of the historic two story wood barn directly behind it. It was no suprise that I decided to make something crafty out of the big mess that no one else wanted to clean up. Except for my jewelry and fabric crafts, everything I make is made with wire or wood found as a direct result of that tornado
