Megan Bowen, DO, is a Board Certified General Surgeon who has operated on most organ systems of the body, but now focuses on breast cancer surgery. She practices with Alamo City Surgeons in San Antonio. Dr. Bowen comes from a family of three generations who have provided military service to our country. After graduate school, she was commissioned in the United States Army and was chosen to participate in their Health Professions Scholarship Program to complete medical school. Cardiothoracic Surgeon Masahiro Ono, MD, PhD is a UNOS-certified heart transplant surgeon whose expertise extends to mechanical circulatory support (MCS) and the placement of ventricular assist devices (VADs). For patients with advanced heart failure awaiting a heart transplant, or who aren't eligible for a heart transplant, ventricular assist devices, or VADs, may be an option. VADs are mechanical pumps that circulate blood from the ventricles (lower chambers of the heart) to the rest of the body.

Barbara Forseth, MD is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and practices at Northeast Internal Medical Associates in San Antonio. Dr. Forseth completed her residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio and is a member of the Bexar County Medical Society and the Texas Medical Society.
