Historic lodge established in 1904. On the Register of Historic Places. Considered one of the only remaining original Roadhouses in Alaska. The lodge consists of a 10 room lodge, a restaurant (Carriage House) and bar (Trappers Den Tavern) in a historic setting. The lodge offers guided fishing for King, Sockeye and Silver Salmon as well as fly fishing for Rainbows and Grayling. The lodge is located approx. 125 miles north of Valdez, 18 miles north of Glennallen at the confluence of the Gakona and Copper River. Travelers will recognize the name Copper River because of the famous Sockeye Salmon that are harvested. Gakona Lodge is a family run business.

Chistochina Bed and Breakfast is located in rural Alaska on the Tok Cutoff 90 miles from Tok and 50 miles from Glennallen. We are near the Wrangell-St. Elias National Park, HAARP, and Mt. Sanford Tribal Consortium.
There are trails nearby all sorts of recreational activities.
We offer clean, comfortable accommodations at reasonable rates.
We have a 900 sq. ft. "Great Room" or Conference Room, a quiet room for reading or conversation, WIFI and a fully furnished Cabin with shower, double bed and complete kitchen.
Moose, caribou, snowshoe hare, fox and even bear are seen occasionally in the yard. The caribou cross here on their spring and fall migration.
Our B & B was established in 1995 after Norma retired.
Our motto is: "Come as a guest and leave as a friend".
