Located high on the hillside overlooking beautiful Mascoma Lake, the 44 acre lakeside resort featured its main dark stained rustic lodge and log cabins, all with bright red roofs and trim. Catering to a loyal clientele of business and professional guests, the proprietors Alfred and Nellie Louise Livingstone operated the Lodge for almost fifty years until their mid-1970's demise. With winter residence in Fair Lawn NJ, Mr Livingstone had an admirable fifty year career as a high school PE teacher, coach and sports official. Being a licensed pilot, he commanded a Chapter of the NJ Civil Air Patrol during WWII and was also an accomplished ham radio operator (W2QPN). Due to the Non-operation, logistics and taxes, the three Livingstone sons agreed to the sale of the Lodge, exercised in 1983
