Sky Sail Balloons was founded in 1988 and has conducting flight primarily in Chautauqua County regularly since then. Most rides are conducted over or around beautiful Chautauqua Lake. Current offerings include rides for two to four people. The standard package includes an approximate one hour ride, a champagne (or sparkling Grape Juice) toast, and a commemorative pin.
Sky Sail sells attractive ride certificates for prepaid rides. Certificate holders are encouraged to book two dates. A primary date and a back up date, in case the weather is unsuitable for flying on the primary date. Individual dates may be reserved were payment is due the day of the flight, however only one date may be reserved at a time for non-certificate holders.

The company is also the areas first commercial balloon operation.The chief pilot and owner Geoff Turner (Sky Sailor) was trained by internationally known champion Balloonist at an FAA certified part 141 balloon flight training center, located in Albuquerque, New Mexico, the undisputed world capital of ballooning.All pilots in command for ride operations at Sky Sail Balloons Inc. are F.A.A.Certified Commercial Balloon Pilots rated for balloons with airborne heaters.Sky Sail Balloons Inc. is insured and operates U.S. registry, state of the art, balloon equipment with valid air worthiness certificates.
