Tae Kwon Do is Korean for "the art of hand and foot." It's a practical form of exercise that can build strength, coordination, agility, and flexibility in anyone. Training is based on the tenets of Tae Kwon Do; courtesy, integrity, modesty, perseverance, self-control, and indomitable spirit. Students practice their skill by performing techniques that are centuries old, all in a safe, controlled, and fun environment. Children in particular benefit from classes in "stranger danger", and they learn to avoid dangerous situations at school, on the playground, and elsewhere.
