Being people who love the outdoors and often traveling to different spots, we started having problems of not having gear around when you need it most. We would discover a spectacular river without having our kayaks, or stumble across some great single track without our mountain bikes.
For the type of sports we like to do, it is hard to bring your gear on a plane. Sure, at your destination you might be able to find a store renting gear. Frequently though you can't, or the rental store is too far away from where you are staying making transportation a prob
