Welcome to Fruit Hills Winery and Orchard, in Bristol Indiana! We are David and Michele Muir and in 2010 we opened a new farm winery in Northern Indiana with the help of our son, Nathan, and daughter-in-law, Brittany. Our winery is located 2 miles south of Bristol on State Road 15 on the Judson Fruit Farm. The farm has been in David’s family since 1852 where it began producing fruit around 1898, and we continue growing fruit to this day. We currently have approximately 3 acres of vineyards planted in northern indiana and continue to expand on that. We focus primarily on newer cold hardy varieties such as Marquette and Frontenac Gris and this spring we planted a new cold hardy red grape named Petite Pearl. We also grow Vignole and Traminette. Traminette has been designated as Indiana’s signature grape and is a hybrid grape that produces a wonderful white wine with pronounced aromas similar to one of it’s parents, Gewurztraminer. We also purchase grapes and juice of varieties that are not feasible to grow in our locale such as Riesling, Cabernet Franc, Merlot etc. We also produce several fruit wines including our signature Apple wine which has cherry juice added to it to give it an extra measure of complexity and flavor. You will be greeted warmly when you visit our winery in the scenic fruit hills in northern indiana. We have an attractive, and inviting tasting room where you will have the opportunity to sample all of our different wines. You may also step outside onto our large deck, or front porch, and enjoy the view while having a glass of wine!
