Established in 1979, Adaptations is a certified organic farm in South Kona that grows tree crops, diversified vegetables, herbs and edible flowers. In 1993, Tane and Maureen Datta launched Adaptations Food Hub, the first food hub in the State of Hawai‘i. It has become a leading local food distributor serving markets statewide, carrying an average of 450 unique local food products that vary seasonally. The food hub sources from 180 small and medium-sized farms on Hawai‘i Island and several producers on Maui.
