"What makes the cookies special is that everything here is whole food," Zambuto said. Zambuto's Main Street Cookie Company has been satisfying cookie cravings since December 2007. All 19 of the company's cookie varieties are available at its tiny retail storefront in Rainier, a former logging town that's now a bedroom community six miles southwest of Yelm. "They're unlike any cookie you've ever tasted. We feel really good about selling them because of the ingredients," said Cathy Doherty, bakery manager at Metropolitan Market. "They're incredibly popular. One gentleman buys six lemon ices every three days. They have a very loyal following."
