The Rock River Cafe' features Finnish traditional menu options, vegan and vegetarian selections, local natural beef, and is family friendly. Breakfast is served with local maple syrup and espresso drinks. Rock River Cafe' is in the historic Pacific Hotel building which is listed in the Michigan Register of Historic Places. Built in 1904 of limestone quarried locally, the building survived a fire that burned down most of the town in 1925. The location is rich with history and varying uses, and was the tallest building in Alger County for several decades. We sit on the edge of the Hiawatha National Forest where rustic meets agriculture, and our menu is designed to reflect this balance of ecosystems.
