The Black Dog Story The Wright family, including T-Bone (The Black Dog), welcomes you to the Black Dog Tavern. We hope you enjoy your time here and come back again and again. When Ted Pasko and I purchased Deer Ridge Golf Course in 2003 the "clubhouse" was a double wide trailer. In 2005 we made the decision to build a new structure to house the pro shop and a restaurant and banquet facility. Ted retired in 2014 and after a year running the operation we realized the restaurant needed a separate identity from the golf course. In February of 2015 we reopened as the Black Dog Tavern. A friend who knew I had golf course experience but no restaurant background asked what our goal was for the restaurant. The answer is quite simple. Our goal is that when people hear we run the Black Dog they say "We love that place!" Please let us know if we are reaching our goal and, more importantly, if we aren't.
