Ocean Family Medicine is proud to present Long Island’s first Health Care Club! The purpose of this club is to keep people healthy and active in their lives. Making a strong bond between a person and their doctor is important. We are offering unlimited no-charge visits, walk-in visits, VIP treatment, and access to a clinical practitioner around the clock for a monthly fee. Our target audience consists of everyone. Members of our club will quickly see their doctor as a luxury, not a burden. Our team consists of two physicians’, a Nurse Practitioner, and a Physician Assistant. The United States health system ranks as one of the worst as an established country; yet we pay nearly the most. Making health insurance coverage to everyone a necessity by law isn’t the solution to spending less, staying healthy is! Having the best health insurance isn’t the most efficient way of staying healthy; having an obtainable physician is. Too often, the patient has to work their schedule around to accommodate the doctor. Why not work together? Currently, we pay our doctor via third party. We give a large cookie to the insurance who in turn gives crumbs to the doctor. (When and if you go). To the Health Care Club Members, PCP is a different acronym, “Personal Care Physician.” Think of this as car insurance. If you get into an accident, your car insurance will cover the value once you meet your deductible. But if you get a flat tire or you need an oil change, your insurance doesn’t cover that. It’s not a big deal because it’s affordable. Ocean Family Medicine is your flat tire and oil change. If you don’t take care of your car, fine, but you’ll pay for it in the long run. Use the same concept with your health. Health insurance is something everyone should have for that “what-if” scenario. Seeing your family medicine doctor is preventing any serious event from occurring in your future. We feel like it should be affordable and the patient’s responsibility; just like an oil change. Something has to be done with this country’s health care system. Emergency rooms are crowded with sore throats, urgent cares are feeling obligated to track a person’s diabetes, current patients’ cannot get an appointment for weeks, and nobody is happy. Technology continues to advance and expand; shouldn’t health care be doing the same? We plan on doing both.

Her post-graduate fellowship in hematology and oncology was completed at Albert Einstein-Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, NY.

Dr. Robert Caiati Robert Caiati, M.D., M.S. Robert Caiati is a board-certified physician practicing at NY Health in Bay Shore. Dr. Caiati graduated from Touro College School of Health Sciences with a Master of Science degree in Biological and Physical Sciences. He graduated medical school at the Technion Israel Institute of Technology before completing a surgical internship at New York Hospital Queens. Dr. Caiati completed his medicine residency at Stony Brook University, where he serves as Assistant Professor of Medicine.
